The Role of Marsh Periwinkle (Littoraria irrorata) in the Nitrogen Budget of a Shifting Marsh-Mangrove Ecotone
Conference Travel Grant Type 2
“I will attend and present at MMM7: the 7th Mangrove Macrobenthos and Management Conference, held July 1-5, 2026, in Ishigaki City, Okinawa, Japan. This international meeting brings together mangrove ecology, coastal resilience, and ecosystem management. I will present my thesis work, “The Role of Marsh Periwinkle (Littoraria irrorata) in the Nitrogen Budget of a Shifting Marsh-Mangrove Ecotone”, which highlights how nitrogen pathways shift during mangrove expansion and the functional role of a key grazer in mediating nutrient cycling.”
