“Thanks to generous funding from the The Wetland Foundation, I traveled to Jamaica in November of 2022 to conduct critical field work in support of this social network analysis. Over the course of ten days, I spoke with many members of the decision-making network in the Black River Lower Morass Ramsar Site, including government officials, university researchers, fishermen, tour guides, and local parish leaders. While the data analysis is still in progress, the conversations revealed a number of key observations.”
